Tuesday's News and Updates

Whew! This is the last Tuesday of September. Wow, how time flies. Here's what's new in my neck of the woods...

• The Fires of Beltane received a *sweet* review from Long and Short Reviews. The reviewer states, "If you're looking for a quick fantasy filled with erotic sensuality of all kinds, mixed with a bit of mystery and intrigue, perhaps this is a title to check out!" You can see the review in its entirety here or here.

• Serena's Prince received *four stars* on Goodreads. Check it out here.

• My Christmas short story will be wrapped up this week. Yes, it should have been complete weeks ago, but unfortunate events at home has caused me to fall behind. 

• Next up I'm planning on writing my story for the Soul Debt collection at Changeling Press, writing an exciting m/m/f story for TEB, and I even hear tell that there's a submission call out there for yet another publisher. My next couple of months plan to be very busy.

• Tonight is the monthly online chat with Changeling Press authors and anyone who wants to drop in at Writerspace. I have all kinds of kid events tonight, but I plan to be there, even if I am a few minutes late. Join the fun!

 

• Next Monday, October 1, I'm blogging at Castles and Guns.

• Don't forget to drop by the Changeling Press Yahoo loop every Friday for some themed, steamy flash fiction. Remember, any and everyone can play!

• Finally, in what-the-hell-why-not kind of way, I'm elbow deep into baking. Halloween begins my creative love of all things sweet. I've experimented with chocolate chip cookie bowls and filled them with butterscotch chips, or gummy worms, or icing, or even crushed oreo cookies. I'm working on plans to make cookies called vampire kisses and even little Frankenstein cookies. If they turn out all right, I'll try to post pictures!

• Serena's Prince - well, the cover - has found a new home on Shiela Stewart's Book Cover Lovers Blog.

• *New Contract* Yes, I've signed a new contract with Changeling Press. {happy dance} This story is titled Office Work, and it's a take-off from a short snippet I wrote about on one of their Flash Fiction Weekends, a few weeks ago. This will be a Razor publication, meaning it's very short, sex out the yin-yang, and contemporary. Nothin' like some burning hot lovin' to rev up your lunch hour, right? I'll be sure to post more details as they come my way. 

• This Saturday is my turn to post on Hitting the Hot Spot, Total E-Bound's blog site. I hope to see you there.

Tuesday News and Updates

Hi All!

I don't know about you, but in my dream world, I get to be in complete control of when I am alone, when I want to be with others and most importantly, when I want/need to write. There will be no interruptions. No having to complete another, non-writing task first. *sigh* Simply the total freedom to write all day, every day, to my inner character's ultimate delights. 

Yeah, we all have to have a dream, right? In the meantime, I'm hitting and missing my writing time, all in the continued effort to satisfy the shadowy figures living inside me. 

Here's what's been going on in my writing world:

• I've submitted a short, sex-till-you-drop piece. Once I get a thumbs-up, I'll be sure to share more info with you!

• I'm still super-excited about the release of Serena's Prince. Who doesn't love a twist on a classic? Honestly, if you're familiar with the original frog prince, you know the girl is not very likeable. Her case is further set when she throws the frog across the room. To compound the negative vibes, the resurrected prince falls into her arms, completely in love. Nuh-uh, I don't think so. In my version, the girl is justified and not quite so horrific. Yes, she does throw the frog, but my prince, well...let's just say he's not so eager to declare Serena his happily ever after quite yet. Grab a copy for yourself to see how these lovers unfold their story.

• Changeling Press is rockin' on the weekends. If you haven't already, jump on their yahoo loop. Every Friday a theme is posted. Writers and Readers alike participate in this Flash Fiction. 150 words (max - give or take) on the theme. The hotter the better! Links to these FF can also be found in Changeling's new and updated Blog!

• Total E-Bound is going strong with their pre-release ebooks. If you aren't a VIP member yet, why not? Head on over there and join to be able to get hot stories even faster!

• I'm all demonized now, between last Friday's Flash Fiction Challenge on the Changeling loop and my Christmas short that should see its submission later this week. Yes, demons abound. Let me tell you, sometimes you just have to take that leap to the dark side. More on this Christmas tale as it unfolds.

I don't believe it - Tuesday's practically over and I've been so busy, I forgot to post my News and Updates. So sorry. I usually put this together over the weekend, so I double apologize. Here's a quick run-down...

I've been joining and hooking up with so many groups and loops lately my head is spinning. I have a notebook now of who/what/how of things and pray that it won't take me too long to get into a rhythm of looking, posting, commenting, etc. It may take me some time, but I firmly believe in the learning curve. 

Friday's at the Changeling Press Yahoo Group is the place to be! Every Friday a new theme is posted. EVERYONE is invited to participate - writers and readers alike. I've posted in the last two and it's been so much fun. My first post I even turned it into a super short story. More on this later.
