New Scifi Release on Sale Today!

The Theme of Malathix Soul (box set): Scifi/futuristic Erotic Romance. Imagine Earth has established interactions with alien life. There is, of course, protocol to follow. A merchant planet, Malathix, wants to open relations with Earth and sends a ship to make this happen. When the ship enters our atmosphere, however, something goes awry, and the result is that the ship is destroyed and the Malathix are stranded. This is only a minor issue, though. The bigger problem is that their souls were stripped during the descent which results in their inner defense mechanisms--literal metal and scary sharp-everything beasts--being left unchecked. The only way to find balance is to locate the women to whom their souls became attached, and to convince each one that they are destined to be mates.

In Soulless, Laya, a waitress in New Texas, doesn't understand why Space Lord Theradon is chasing her. Is it to kill her, or to love her?

In Broken, Thorn's determination to rescue his stranded brother is offset by Yvette, the female whose very existence could mean the salvation of their planet.

In Jagged, Camden lives with the guilt that he's responsible for their being stranded, but he refuses to open up to his mate, Deidre, who will give him all the answers he needs if he'd not only trust her, but his beast as well.

I'm super excited that this box set: Malathix Soul, is available everywhere fine ebooks are sold as of today. You can pick up a copy from Amazon, All Romance eBooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and Coffee Time Romances! So many choices; it's wonderful!

Okay, so this box set comprises of not exactly "new" stories, but they are newly smooshed together at a price that way beats what you would've paid for the stories individually (and the individual stories are no longer for sale). Besides, reading a series all at once takes you on the emotional ride the writer intended in the first place...without having to wait months inbetween.

Buy Links for your quick and easy pleasure ('cause I'm awesome like that)  ;)

And have a fantastic, wonderful day!

Would you make love With the Lights On?

I can't speak for everyone, but most people would say no. Reasons are many, but for my heroine in With the Lights On, she can hide better in the dark. What happens when she has a lover who won't bend to her wishes for cover? Find out in my latest release from Changeling Press--now available from some of your favorite ebook sellers! Read on for more...

Tia is an educated, independent woman who's come to terms with her less than stellar love life. She's had various lovers, but she also knows her body is not made for sex like other women's. She enjoys the foreplay, to a degree, but get past that and it's nothing but disappointment for her.

That is, until Damien puts her to the test. He's bound and determined to show the sexy sociologist that she can be just as receptive to pleasure as any other woman, no matter what it takes. She won't have any place to hide once he gets his hands on her, yet will she be able to give herself over to his seductive demands?

Excerpt:

“Well, damn,” Damien exclaimed softly. He straightened and rested his forehead against hers. She felt the rapid beat of his heart against her chest. But…

Why isn’t he touching me?

“Damien, are you all right?” she asked hesitantly.

“No.” He exhaled. “And neither are you, it seems.” He was a little out of breath, and had moved his forearms to the door on either side of her head.

“What do you mean?” Tia gave a little wiggle and ran her nails down his ribs. She peeked at him through her lashes and tried a seductive smile. All for naught, though, because his eyes were closed.

“I’m so sorry, Tia. I brought you up here because I’ve wanted you for months, and your words downstairs were a challenge to me. Then we got so caught up, I forgot…”

She watched him mutely. Unsure. When he opened his eyes, she couldn’t look away.

“I bet this is what happens, isn’t it? Some guy gets you interested, you two go at it, then he’s the one racing ahead.”

“It isn’t like I sleep around or anything,” she whispered, not wanting to admit how right he was.

“No, I don’t think you do. And this is a good reason why I suspect.”

Keeping his gaze locked with hers, he set his hand next to her breast, over her heart. Her calm and steady heart.

“What happened?” he asked, barely making a sound.

She dropped her gaze and shrugged her shoulders. “I told you downstairs. This is me.”

He didn’t answer or move, and she looked back up at him, trying to read this unusual man who’d stopped loving her because of her sudden lack of enthusiasm.

The silence made her uncomfortable. “What now?” she asked. “Should I go? I should go, shouldn’t I?” She shrugged again and tried to straighten, but Damien wouldn’t budge.

Then he did the oddest thing yet. He gave her a chaste kiss on her forehead, the tip of her nose, and ended with his palm nestled against her cheek and a soft kiss to her lips.

These innocent moves, delicate touches, made her tremble as nothing else ever had. “Damien.”

“You aren’t going anywhere,” he whispered across her lips. “I’ve wanted you too long, and I think you’ve wanted me, too, or else we wouldn’t be here. I want to make this good for you. For us. But it’s going to take an effort on your part. I want you to let me try to take you there.” He continued to place soft, easy kisses over her eyelids, her brow, her cheeks, the corners of her mouth.

“Where?”

His smile across her cheek made her return the gesture.

“Let me make love to you, Tia. Listen to me -- I’ll say it again. I want to make love. To you. With you. And I don’t care how long it takes, I’ll make it good for you. But you have to trust me.”

Tia opened her eyes, feeling him pull away. He still cupped her cheek and she rested against his palm, loving the strength in his large hand. He ran his thumb across her lip and waited.

Did you get a Kindle for Christmas?

Yay! Lucky you! I personally own a Kindle and love it. Of course, I think it's also evil incarnate in how freakin' easy it is to buy books. Just wait...you'll see.

It goes like this...

You browse amazon, you may start off with a sample chapter here and there. Then you get sucked in. You want more. You HAVE to have more. And you do it. You hit the "Buy" button. It's so easy. No harm, no foul. And you, snuggled in your pj's, sipping spiked hot cider, can instantly read your brand new book.

Heck, what am I saying? It's ingenious! I love it!!

To get you started, why not visit my Amazon Author page where you can look at all the books I have for sale on this wonderful site. Take your time, read a sample or two, then get hooked. It's not hard at all to do.

Have fun and drop me a line to share your slide into darkness...erm, I mean, uplifting tales of how great the Kindle has made your life! *grin*

Thanksgiving Party!

The count down is on! Only a few more days until I'm slaving away in the kitchen, lovingly preparing mounds of food, all to be consumed and left within minutes. Astonishing, really. But I don't mind because I do love to cook, and Thanksgiving is when I get to make a select once-a-year dishes. The only downside is the cleaning. Sigh. I need a few able bodied cabana boys to take over at that point.

In the meantime, I'm partying. Yes, that's right--and YOU'RE INVITED!! I'm hanging out at the TRS Party Site where I'm sharing excerpts, recipes, and just plain ol' fun. Stop by and look around. Don't forget to enter to win the Amazon gift certificate!

When you click here, you'll go straight to the party site. Scroll the bevy of posts to increase your TBR pile (I know I've been doing this), or look down on your right and click on my name to see my posts exclusively.

Take it easy and rest up for later this week!

When the men come home from their club early one night, they catch her breaking just about every rule they have in their kitchen. Now the gloves are off.

Melissa, trembling under their gaze, is given ten seconds to decide her fate—she can walk away and lose any hope of growing her relationship with these men, or she can stay and submit to their creative punishment for her misdeeds…

Reader Advisory: This book contains minor food play, spankings, an erotic version of red-light/green-light, and interesting consequences involving cookies.
*Please also note that Five Courses can also be found in the Whip It Up! Anthology.

General Release!!

This week is a biggie for me because it marks the general release of my latest erotic romance, Her Sexy Side! If you have a favorite bookseller, now's the time to check it out. Below are some easy-peasy links to the more popular ones.

Her Sexy Side
by Ayla Ruse

Kiera loves her new eroticism, but would her desire exist without his art?

Excerpt:

Max flexed the fingers of his left hand, his drawing hand, the hand that could pour his burdensome gift of influence into anything he drew. He wanted Kiera, all right, but he wanted her to come to him willingly, on her own and not because he’d forced her with his pictures.

As they continued to talk, his thoughts kept trailing to her outfit and what she’d look like beneath the black, fitted, long-sleeved shirt. He couldn’t help it. She was gorgeous. The ends of the scarf at her neck teased over her full breasts, and a long, straight skirt in a black-and-white pattern led his eye to her small, heeled boots. Despite how amazing she looked, he knew she wasn’t a vixen. Her dress, her speech and her attitude screamed conservative, which normally turned him off. But Kiera made conservative look damn sexy. Or it could be his thoughts of what she’d look like beneath the clothes and of how she’d respond to being in his bed. All these thoughts had led to the pictures he’d drawn of her that she’d found in her classroom.

It’d also led to the picture he’d sketched on a scratch sheet of paper when she’d excused herself to go to the bathroom a few minutes ago. When she’d returned, he’d flipped it over and set his glass of water over it. These pictures were for his eyes only. Especially when they were so infused with his desires.

He shifted in his seat, his cock growing hard at his own fantasies. It was time to call it a night.

“I love that story, Kiera,” he said, leaning over to snag their glasses from the table while trying to will away his erection. “I have to tell you, I’m glad you accepted my date.”

“I’m glad you asked,” she responded, smiling in a way that made his toes curl. It wasn’t seductive or provocative, it was simply honest. He took a deep breath, hoped his cock behaved, stood quickly and walked around the couch.

“Are you ready for me to take you home?” Max carried their glasses to the kitchen, listening for her confirmation. It might be rude of him, but having her this close to his bed, this late at night, was beginning to wear on his control.

Her silence made him double back. “Kiera?” She jumped and turned as if he’d spooked her. “You okay?” he asked. “Ready to go?”

She stood slowly and never let her eyes fall from his. Max shifted, wondering why she wasn’t agreeing with him to take her home.

“I thought Raymond was staying with your parents tonight?” she asked.

He coughed lightly. “Um, yes. He is.” He stuck his hands in the pockets of his slacks and jiggled the car keys.

She smiled again, but this time the ends of her lips curled in a way that made her seem wicked all of a sudden. Damn. He fisted his hands to keep from dragging her close and kissing those teasing lips.

“You don’t have a curfew, do you?” she asked.

“Ah, no.” He puzzled at her abrupt change in attitude. She was all of a sudden acting like she wanted him to make a move on her. He’d been a fool to think coming to his place was a good idea.

“But Max,” she said slowly, her voice having dropped, “I’m not ready to leave.”

Their eyes met, held, and the next thing he knew, she flung herself toward him and kissed him clumsily, but with everything she had.

Friday Free Read and a Link

It's Day 2 of the Swept Away Valentine's Day blog hop. So many great authors to see and even more fabulous books to add to your TBB piles. I know this is true for me, too!

Friday's are full of sexy fun over at the Changeling Press Yahoo Group. Every Friday a new Flash Fiction theme is posted in which every and anyone can play (authors and readers alike). We try to keep our FF between 100 and 150 words, with as much heat and excitement as possible.

Sometimes, oftentimes, these flash fiction snippets turn into something more. Personally, for me, two great stories have made their way to publication as a direct result of these flash fictions.

One story revolved around this theme: you overhear someone talking dirty at the office. What do you do? My flash fiction piece spoke to me, you could say, and developed into the over-the-top sex everywhere tale called Office Work. Although it seems run-of-the-mill at first glance, it's anything but. If you like the thought of five industrious, sexy, creative individuals finding pleasure with each other, then this books for you!

Here's the flash fiction piece that started me on this story, followed by links.

Flash Fiction piece (100 words) which led to Office Work :

"I want your head between my legs."

Roger peeked around the corner. There sat Melinda, proper as ever, a phone pressed to her ear. Melinda, and phone sex?

"Yes, honey. You can fuck me later. Keep licking."

Her words were right, just…not very enthusiastic. You had to be enthusiastic to have phone sex, else what's the point? It'd be a sin to let her monotone continue.

He spun her chair around, yanked her hips to the edge of the seat, and pressed his mouth against her pussy.

"No, stop! I don't mean you, Steve. I meant you can't...oh...my. God. Yes!"

*eg* And here's info on the full story version:

Office Work

by Ayla Ruse
(A Razor's Edge story)
Novella, Erotic, menage, bisexual and more, contemporary, guilty pleasures (M/F/F/M/M)
23 pages
Published by Changeling Press

Barb from Bad Barb's Place reviewed Office Work and said, "Saying it was burning hot would be a mild description. This was so much fun to read and made me want to read more."

Blurb:
Roger's interest in Melinda is piqued when he overhears her talking naughty at the office. Unfortunately, she sounds like she's reading a boring script. Not one to pass up an opportunity to help out a fellow employee, Roger proceeds to demonstrate what Melinda and her caller are fantasizing. After all, it's a selfless effort to help her sound more realistic.

It's all fun and games until one caller demands more than Melinda alone can give. In a situation gone sexually out of control, five industrious office workers soon succumb to the control of this caller.

How far are these helpful employees willing to go in the name of realism? And will Roger ever be able to claim Melinda for his own?

Today, I'm going to introduce you to some demon love. This past week saw the release of my short Christmas tale, Zarakion's Tip, at some of your favorite booksellers like Amazon, Barnes and Noble and All Romance eBooks. The theme may sound like Christmas, but the sexy hot love Zarakion and Taryn (the elf) discover will melt even the coldest heart.

Santa's Helpers: Zarakion's Tip

by Ayla Ruse
A paranormal/fantasy erotic romance; novella

Delivery tips come in all shapes and sizes...

Chrissy from Romance Junkies gives Zarakion's Tip 4.5 Blue Ribbons!
"ZARAKION’S TIP is unexpectedly delightful just because the characters and the setting are so unique.  The sexual interactions are deliciously hot and imaginative."

Blurb

The SPDS -- Santa's Package Delivery System -- is in full swing this Christmas. This special co-op of the North Pole delivers packages to the Otherworlders, including demons.

Taryn is a new delivery elf this year, and she draws the short straw -- having to deliver packages to Hell.

Zarakion, a Cha'horz demon -- the guardians of the dividing line between Earth and Hell -- has to work the unstable drop point. He has to play at receiving; not his favorite job.

When Taryn steps through the Gate, she's intimidated at first by the huge demon, but Zarakion gives her a delivery tip that'll have her scrambling to return to the drop point again and again.

Excerpt:

Taryn studied the number carved into the door, for no other reason than to gain focus. "You can do this," she murmured.

With bolstered resolve, she lifted her chin, set her five-foot height as straight and tall as she could, and reached up on tiptoe to lift the heavy knocker centered on the metal door. The loud bang made her jump, and when the door immediately swung open, some of that pep talk she'd given herself disappeared like Santa going up a chimney. Light from the passageway spilled a few feet into a dark and seemingly empty space.

"Enter. State your business and leave," growled a voice from within the darkened depths.

Taryn gulped, her palms grown sweaty on the handlebar grips.

"The Hall Monitors will snack on you if you don't get your ass in here."

Feeling like she'd been whipped for a naughtiness she hadn't understood, she hurried to push her monstrous bike through the portal. She stopped right at the light's edge inside the... room? Station? Area? Heck, she couldn't see past the line of that darkness.

Her bravado failed, however, when a loud clanking sound indicated the gates were shutting, with her inside. And her precious light was going with it.

"Wait," she stammered. "I'm here to drop off packages. I'm from Santa's Package Delivery System. Don't shut me in. I won't be two minutes. Promise. Can't we leave the gate open?"

"And have any do-gooder wander in here? Or the Hall Monitors? Come to think of it, that might be fun. They truly are monitors -- of the reptilian kind." Then its playful tone vanished like a bad version of Jekyll and Hyde. "Enough. I don't want to be here, and I know you don't want to be here, so do your business and be --"

Whatever the voice was going to say was cut off. Taryn shifted but wouldn't let go of her bike. She swung her leg over the seat, ready to high tail it somewhere if her comfort level didn't increase, and fast.

The door shut completely and blackness surrounded her like a heavy cloak. A gust of wind blew by her, ruffling her silky hair. It smelled sweet and spicy all at once. Odd kind of wind. Come to think of it, she'd never figured Hell to have wind. The air changed direction and she tossed her head, frustrated because the wind was blowing her hair into her eyes and she couldn't see a damn thing.

"What do we have here?" The voice sounded close, and Taryn's body clenched. Strangely, it wasn't all fear. Some parts of her responded to that deep, gravelly voice, as if it stroked her inside.

"Snowflake. That's what you make me think of. I've never seen a snowflake, but I've heard many passers-by tell of the delicate, fragile, frozen liquid."

The praise from the demon had her squirming on her seat. Despite her nervousness, she liked his voice. She could feel herself bend toward him, ready to listen to whatever he had to say.

"I wonder," the demon continued, "what you would feel like if I touched you."

That snapped her straight. She set her lips into a firm line. She knew he couldn't touch her. Mebon had assured her. No, she could not let herself be intimidated by this creature. "No time. I'm here to do my job. I'm going to get your packages, but I need some light."

A dim pool of light washed over her, like a center-stage gel surrounding her and her bike. She hopped off and opened her saddlebags. "Thank you. Where should I put them?"

A crackling, groaning sound met her ears right before a flat trolley rolled into view. She gasped. The trolley appeared to be made of bones.

The mysterious demon didn't speak, so Taryn shook off her shock and started pulling out little cubes from her bags. As she gingerly set each one on the trolley, it shimmered and grew in size until the cart was stacked with gaily wrapped packages. She wanted so badly to ask who would be getting such packages in Hell, but she bit her lip. Questions would only cause her to stay longer, and she wasn't sure she'd like the answers given.

"There you go, demon." She held out the clipboard. "Sign where I've marked, and I'll be gone."

She never saw the demon, but a sparkling glow and pressure hit her clipboard, almost knocking it from her hand. When she pulled it back to her, a dark red signature lit up next to each mark.

"All right. If you'll open the gate, I'll be on my way. Thanks."

She replaced her clipboard as she spoke, then decided what the hell, why not, and stuck out her hand, hoping to get a tip.
